Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 11, 2026
Introduction
Welcome to Bloomly (“Bloomly,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS application “Budget Planner - Bloomly” (the “App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy by following a privacy-first approach: your financial data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account — never on our servers.
Bloomly is developed by Sasa Stevic, an independent developer based in Germany.
Information We Do NOT Collect
Unlike most finance apps, Bloomly does NOT collect, store, or transmit:
- ❌ Your transactions, income, or expense data
- ❌ Your savings goals or budget information
- ❌ Your account names or balances
- ❌ Your personal name (if entered in app settings)
- ❌ Your email address
- ❌ Your phone number
- ❌ Your contacts
- ❌ Your photos or files
- ❌ Your location
- ❌ Your browsing history
- ❌ Device identifiers for advertising purposes
We have no servers. We have no database. We never see your financial information.
How Your Data Is Stored
All your data is stored in two places, both controlled entirely by YOU:
1. On Your Device
Your transactions, categories, savings goals, and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
2. In Your Personal iCloud Account
If you have iCloud enabled and signed in, your data is automatically and end-to-end encrypted by Apple, then synced across your Apple devices via Apple’s CloudKit service. This is the same secure technology Apple uses for iCloud Photos and iCloud Drive.
Important: This data lives in YOUR iCloud account — not ours. We have no access to it. Apple is the data processor; you are the data controller.
To manage your iCloud sync:
- Go to iPhone Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud → Bloomly
- Toggle on/off as you wish
Third-Party Services We Use
Bloomly uses a limited number of third-party services for essential functionality:
RevenueCat (Subscription Management)
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat receives:
- An anonymous user ID (random string, not linked to your identity)
- Your purchase status (e.g., “Lifetime Pro: active”)
- The product purchased (e.g.,
bp_lifetime_1299) - Your country (for tax calculations, anonymized)
RevenueCat does NOT receive your name, email, financial data, or any personal information. They process payments and verify entitlements only.
RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Apple App Store / In-App Purchases
When you make a purchase (Lifetime, Monthly, or Yearly Pro), Apple handles the payment through your existing Apple ID. Apple is the merchant of record. Apple’s Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Apple iCloud (CloudKit)
As described above, your data syncs through Apple’s iCloud service. Apple’s privacy practices are described here: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Data We Do Not Share
Because we do not collect your data, we cannot:
- Sell it to advertisers
- Share it with marketing companies
- Provide it to analytics platforms
- Disclose it to data brokers
No third party will ever see your transactions, balances, or financial situation through Bloomly.
Analytics and Tracking
Bloomly contains NO analytics tracking:
- ❌ No Google Analytics
- ❌ No Facebook SDK
- ❌ No Mixpanel
- ❌ No Amplitude
- ❌ No third-party advertising trackers
- ❌ No device fingerprinting
- ❌ No App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompts needed
The app does not connect to any analytics services. We do not know how many users we have, what features they use, or how long they spend in the app.
Children’s Privacy
Bloomly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. The app is designed for adults managing personal finances.
Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, and Beyond)
Because we don’t collect your data, most data privacy rights don’t directly apply to us — there’s no data to access, delete, or transfer from our systems. However:
- Right to Access: All your data is visible to you directly in the app at any time
- Right to Delete: Delete the app from your device and disable iCloud sync to permanently remove all data
- Right to Portability: Use the “Export to CSV” feature in Profile to download all your transactions as a standard CSV file (Pro feature)
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Disable iCloud sync in iPhone Settings at any time
For data stored in YOUR iCloud, Apple is the data controller. Contact Apple directly for iCloud-specific privacy requests.
Special Note for EU Users (GDPR)
As an EU-based developer (Germany), we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). However, because Bloomly is designed as a zero-data-collection app:
- No personal data is processed by Bloomly or its developers
- No consent is required because no data leaves your devices
- Data Protection Officer (DPO): Not applicable (we process no personal data)
- Lawful basis for processing: Not applicable (no processing occurs)
If you have GDPR-related questions, you may contact us at the email below.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as:
- You keep the app installed on your device, AND
- You keep your iCloud account active with sync enabled
When you delete the app and disable iCloud sync, all your Bloomly data is permanently deleted from your iCloud after Apple’s standard deletion process (typically immediate).
In-App Purchase Information
When you purchase Pro (Lifetime, Monthly, or Yearly):
- Apple processes the payment through your Apple ID
- Apple sends a purchase receipt to RevenueCat
- RevenueCat marks your anonymous user ID as “Pro: active”
- Your purchase status is checked locally when you open the app
No payment information (credit card numbers, bank details, billing addresses) ever passes through Bloomly or its developers.
Face ID and Biometric Authentication
If you enable Face ID Lock in Profile settings:
- Face ID data is never sent to Bloomly or any server
- Face ID is handled entirely by Apple’s secure enclave on your device
- We only receive a “success/failure” signal from iOS
- Disable anytime in Profile → Face ID Lock
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:
- The “Last updated” date at the top will change
- Significant changes will be announced in the app’s release notes
- Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance
International Users
Bloomly is available worldwide. Regardless of where you are located:
- Your data stays in your iCloud account (Apple’s data residency policies apply)
- We do not transfer your data internationally because we never possess it
- This Privacy Policy applies to all users globally
Apple App Store
The Apple App Store has its own privacy practices. When you download Bloomly, Apple collects information about your purchase that we do not have access to. See Apple’s Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

Privacy Summary (TL;DR)
If you read nothing else, know this:
